Protests erupt outside Kasba Police station as 3 arrested in alleged Kolkata college gang rape
In a recent case from Ramgarh, another instance of "love jihad" has emerged, sparking ongoing discussions across the country. Following a complaint filed by a married woman from Saudagar Mohalla, the Ramgarh police swiftly took action by registering an FIR.
The married woman, a resident of Saudagar Mohalla, filed a complaint at the Ramgarh police station late last night.
In the FIR, she wrote that Arju Mansuri of Saudagar Mohalla entered her house around 9 pm along with some of his men. Arju Mansuri along with his people started pressuring her to be friends with him. When she protested, he began assaulting her. He tried to kill her by suffocation. He also attacked her with a knife, although she still dodged his knife attack. He kept threatening her over and over again to forcefully befriend him. He constantly threatened to kill her if she didn't befriend him.
Similarly, this information was given to Ramgarh Police Station. After receiving information about the incident, the police approached and took the accused into custody. She wrote in the FIR that Arju Mansoori always followed her and constantly pushed to be a friend.
An FIR was registered late at night at the Ramgarh police station. A case has been registered under sections 452, 341, 323, 354 and 308 of the IPC. The incident became a hot topic of discussion in the city.
